Dear people who say girls do this and boys do that....

I've got some information for you.... Gender rolls are BS!

Here are a few points that I'd be happy to never hear about or deal with again, so anyone who believes girls and boys have only certain rolls in life, take notes!

• If I coach my child in soccer, being a woman does not make me the "cheerleader."

• If a girl plays hard and kicks ass, she is NOT playing like a boy. She IS a bad ass girl!

•  If a boy doesn't play as good as some of the other players,  he is not playing like a girl. He just needs more practice.

• If my son wants me to paint his toe nails because I'm painting mine, does not make him any less of a boy or anything other than a boy bonding with his mom and its NORMAL!

• It is NOT a girl thing to paint your nails. Boys do it all the time! Gay or straight, makes no difference. It is a style.

•  If my son wants long hair, he can have long hair. It is NOT a girl thing.

• If a girl want to play with remote control cars and other action type toys it does not make her a "tom boy" or any less of an average normal girl nor does a boy who wants to play with dolls make him a "sissy" or any less of a normal boy. They are all just toys GET OVER IT!

•  If a man stays home with the kids and the woman works, GREAT! There's nothing wrong with that! More power to them for making something work for them and their family.

•  A man can help around the house and with the kids, that only makes him a loving and helpful person. 

• A woman can successfully make critical decisions and be in a roll of authority, it just makes her the right person for the job. 

• A boy should know how to hold a job, take car of his children, cook, clean, mow the lawn, change tires and oil..... A girl should know the exact same things. 

• A girl can work on a car, drive like a bad ass, and do ALL the things boys can do. It really makes no difference. 

 The list of ignorant gender specific opinions go on and on and on.... I'm over gender rolls and what boys and girls are supposed to do. Its these kinds of ideologies that cause people to be ashamed of who they are and unhappy with themselves. I don't do what girls are supposed to do and if my boys don't do what boys are supposed to do, that's fine with me! Leave us alone!

People who continues to plague people's lives with these ignorant opinions are foolish! Here's the definition on those words, in case your unaware of their actual meanings...

Ignorant: lacking in knowledge or training; unlearned:lacking knowledge or information as to a particular subject or fact.

Foolish: resulting from or showing a lack of sense; ill-considered; unwise: lacking forethought or caution.


Feel free to criticize me or my children about such things. I'll be happy to educate you on how your opinions are narrow minded and antiquated.
